The Festival is Warner's invitation to share the natural splendor
of New Hampshire's vibrant autumn colors while enjoying food, entertainment,
carnival rides and fine crafts along the main streets of Warner.
The Festival is organized and operated by hundreds of local volunteers. During the festival, good folks from all walks of life volunteer to cook, sell tickets, wash dishes, carry soda, flip chickens, steam lobsters and become 'refuse collection specialists,' all to raise money for community projects.
And remember that, as
always, you can enjoy the autumn splendor of New Hampshire without
partisan concerns because - |

WHAT ARE YOU DOING COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND?? Approximately 200 hundred people in and around Warner can answer that question—they’ll be giving time to the 61st Warner Fall Foliage Festival. Been doing it for years in some cases, others will be just coming back after experiencing the fun of last year’s 60th. This town-wide funding raising effort is HUGE and entirely volunteer staffed. The dates for 2008 are Friday, Oct. 10 through Sunday the 12—of course set up and clean up happen around those dates making the opportunity for volunteering also HUGE. Think about what you like about Warner and most likely funding from Festival made it possible. Funds have gone to the Fire Dept., United Church of Warner, Recreation Dept., Clerk’s Office, Town Hall (stage curtains and floor), WYSA, Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, Preschool, Highway Dept., and Trail Snails Snowmobile Club to name some of the more recent funding awards. The time is now to think about giving two hours as a volunteer. The choices are huge: grill cook in the food tent, booster and raffle ticket seller, assisting in car parking lots, the glamour of trash collector, Carnival ride ticket seller, road race assistants, help direct vendors during set up, and the myriad small tasks of assisting in set up or clean up are just few of the fun ways to contribute time to this effort. And the activity level can be as great or as little as you wish. Strong backs and pickup trucks are always welcome for the set up/clean up phase. Come in a group—your neighbors, your family, your friends-- or come individually. Volunteer for two hours and stay on to enjoy the festival! Whether you are new to the community or have been here forever, NOW is the time to make a positive impact on your town. Volunteering is easy. The only requirement is a smile and the desire to continue to make Warner a great place to be. Make a commitment now by calling Linda Cermak at 526-2470 or click on Volunteer Today! Watch for our Info Poster at the Transfer Station—updates monthly!! So, the perks are: fun, contributing to your town, and a 2008 WFFF Volunteer T-shirt. Don’t put this aside. Make this 61st Warner Fall Foliage Festival the best one yet!!
